Repairs and Servicing

The repair side of our business provides a service for customers who own guitars, of any brand, who require servicing and repair of their instruments. We regularly repair and maintain instruments for recording studios, session musicians and individuals. Instrument repairs will mostly be carried out at the workshop, though an out call service for some issues may be available, subject to the customer paying the costs of this. We can arrange to collect and return instruments subject to the customer paying the costs of this.

As a dedicated musician you will require your instruments to be serviced regularly to ensure the best performance in demanding circumstances. We offer full servicing for electric, acoustic and electro-acoustic instruments. Instruments can be booked in for servicing in the usual manner and we ask for notice of upcoming tours et cetera to enable us to devise a schedule to cover all your instruments.

A service will usually cost in the region of £100 per instrument, excluding the cost of any materials or parts required.

We carry out repairs to all brands, subject to our standard criteria:

  • We will provide a quote for the work once we have seen the instrument and before any work commences.
  • Unless otherwise previously agreed, no work will be done on the instrument without details of the job and cost being agreed with the owner in advance.
  • There is a minimum charge of £30 for any work undertaken.
  • Customers are asked to contact us for a quote. This will be based on our hourly rate of £50 per hour plus the cost of any materials and parts required.
  • All work to be paid for on completion of the job. We accept payment by all major cards as well as cash, PayPal, Google Pay and Apple Pay.
  • Unless otherwise previously agreed, all finished instruments must either be collected or delivery arranged within 7 days of notification or a storage charge of £25 per week will be added to the bill for a period of up to 4 weeks. We reserve the right, after this period, to sell the instruments to recoup monies owed. Any surplus from the sale will be refunded to the customer and any shortfall will be invoiced accordingly.
